Abby & Brent's Villa Woodbine Wedding

bride and groom reading vows

I always love coming up with wedding design concepts for our clients and fine tuning them to their specific desires and personalities. A concept that I generally love is surprisingly simple: classic, elegant, with a pop of color. This is exactly the vibe we went for when designing Abby and Brent’s wedding.

This gorgeous outdoor wedding, at the Villa Woodbine, was absolutely the perfect venue to fit the desired aesthetic. Getting married under the shade of a tree–that must be at least 100 years old–not only provides exquisite lighting, but we also get the most beautiful ceremony photos. I also personally believe that outdoor weddings deeply connect us with nature, which is just an added bonus.

Some of my favorite details of this event are tied to Abby’s day of look. The bride's simple (yet stunning) dress was wonderfully complimented by her rustic bouquet. I thought it was the perfect pop of color–we tied this detail into the table centerpieces as a sort of “homage” to the bouquet. The parallels between Abby’s bouquet and the table centerpieces are examples of details that make for a well rounded, cohesive design that every couple wants for their event.

As an event planner, the true testament of a successful event–other than having everything run smoothly–is seeing the joy that's created. Knowing that this event is not only making the couple overflow with joy, but also seeing every guest having the time of their lives is a big reason why I do this. After working with Abby and Brent and seeing the vision we created together, I can confidently say that this wedding was definitely one of those ones where the joy was infectious!
