A Wedding Weekend to Remember: Laura and Aakash’s Multi-Day Celebration at Vizcaya Museum & Gardens

What’s better than a wedding day? A full wedding weekend! Laura and Aakash turned their nuptials into an entire weekend celebration, and let me tell you—every moment was unforgettable. At Karma Goddess Event Planning, we love helping couples create multi-day events that allow family and friends to fully immerse themselves in the joy of their union. Laura and Aakash’s wedding weekend was no exception, filled with vibrant traditions, lavish attire, and a spectacular setting that brought everything to life.

One of the highlights for me is the rich cultural heritage woven into each ceremony. Indian wedding customs are some of my favorites to coordinate. Laura’s mehndi included a playful detail where Aakash’s name was hidden in the intricate designs for him to find—a tradition that brings a touch of fun and anticipation to the celebrations. Aakash also wore a floral turban and veil, a traditional accessory meant to ward off any evil spirits, symbolizing protection as he embarked on this journey with Laura. And, of course, I loved the ritual of tying Laura's sari to Aakash's scarf—a beautiful representation of their souls uniting as one.

The energy was palpable as guests arrived in their finest traditional attire, with colors and fabrics as vibrant as the joy in the air. Each outfit seemed to echo the opulence and luxury that Indian weddings are known for, making every part of the celebration feel grand and full of life. Aakash’s grand entrance in a cherry-red Ferrari, was an unforgettable moment, fulfilling what I’m sure is every groom's dream of making an entrance to remember!

Choosing the right venue is key for a celebration of this magnitude, and the stunning Vizcaya Museum & Gardens provided the ideal backdrop for Laura and Aakash’s vision. Set against the timeless elegance of Vizcaya, every detail shone, from the florals to the decor, all echoing the charm and grandeur of the couple’s special day.
